Such a day as this (4-10-2015)

It was amazing this morning when I walked into Larry´s room to have him open his eyes and say hi!!
I almost couldn´t believe it. He was more awake and alert than I had seen him in days. It was such a relief. I let myself bask in this change for the better and pray it continues. It is not coincidental that our faithful ward members started a fast for Larry and me last night and I have felt strength, comfort,
hope, and peace from their fasting and prayers along with the prayers of so many of our family and friends. I am so grateful for each one of you.
Today Larry´s drain was replaced and also his pik line along with some other tests and x-rays. He will continue to be monitored closely while the antibiotics are given for the next two weeks. They will also be watching his kidneys and lungs that have showed some signs of difficulty during this time. There continue to be difficult things each day and I know we have a long road ahead but I can´t help jumping up and down a little after such a day as this!

  1. I can't tell you how happy this post made me. This morning as I was saying my prayers I, one again, prayed for Larry and for you and all of your family. I know that this is such a difficult time, and I know that Heavenly Father is so mindful of you all. I think of you often during the day and pray continually for healing and comfort for each of you. I wish I could do more for you. I am so thankful for the example you all have always been to me of faith, hope and trust in the Lord. I love you dear friend and I look forward to the day when we are home and Larry can tease me, once again. It will happen. Holly and David
